UK Spouse Visa
The UK Spouse Visa allows married partners of UK citizens to immigrate to the UK based on their marriage to someone who is ‘settled in the UK’—meaning they live in the UK and face no immigration restrictions on how long they can stay.
Spouse Visa Requirements:
To be eligible for a UK Spouse Visa, you must meet the following criteria:
- Both you and your spouse must be at least 18 years old.
- You must have met in person and be legally married, to prevent arranged marriages.
- You must intend to live together permanently.
- You must have sufficient financial resources to support yourselves (and any dependents) without relying on public funds.
- Your sponsoring partner must earn at least £18,600 per year or have sufficient savings to sponsor you. This financial requirement increases if dependent children are also being sponsored.
- You must have appropriate accommodation for yourselves and any dependents.
- You must meet the English language proficiency requirements.
